The best tuna burger recipe

Tonhalburger recept

This heavenly tuna burger is ideal for both family gatherings and friendly get-togethers! A quick and easy recipe best enjoyed with oven-baked potatoes and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients (for 6 burgers):

  • 240 (3×80) grams of Maruzzella tuna steak in olive oil
  • 1 egg
  • 5 dkgs of breadcrumbs
  • 6 seeded whole-grain buns
  • 6 tsp of mayonnaise
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • 1 tbsp of fresh chives
  • 1 fresh sprig of parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • tomatoes, lettuce
  • sauce(s) of your choice

How to prepare:

Drain some of the oil from your canned tuna, then mix the tuna together with the crushed garlic, your chives and finely chopped parsley, and finally season with some salt and pepper. Add an egg and your breadcrumbs to the mixture (you will need just enough breadcrumbs for your mixture to become cohesive and moldable). After mixing let your mixture rest in the fridge for an hour, after which you can start forming your patties (as thick as your hand) from it. Cook both sides on a grill until brown. If you don’t own a grill, you could heat up a little (approx. 2 tbsp of) oil in a pan, and fry your fish-patties in there.

In the meantime, clean your tomatoes and lettuce, then slice up the tomatoes. As soon as your patties are done cooking (or frying), you’re ready to assamble your burgers and serve them with the sauce(s) of your choice.
