At the beginning of the year 2017 a sea record was broken. A bluefin tuna larger than all that came before it was caught. The fishermen who caught the fish were Scott McCoy, Clarke Merrell and Chris Garner.

The 318 cm (125 inches) long, and 474 kg (1045 lbs) fish was so big, its fishers were only able to bring it to the harbour by dragging it through the water. Bluefin tuna are among the most expensive fish in the world and can sell for millions if high quality. This fish, unfortunately, doesn’t hold the official record, since one condition for the record would be for the fish not to be commerced.
